IT security: Workstations are unoccupied for months
Skills shortage as a cybersecurity vulnerability? According to a study by Kaspersky, half (49 percent) of the companies surveyed in Europe need over six months to fill open cybersecurity positions. The most frequently cited reason: The applicants' practical skills do not correspond to their training on paper (57 percent). In Germany alone, there are around 150.000 unfilled positions in the entire IT sector.
