End users can restore their own data independently

Hornetsecurity has expanded its backup solution with a new self-service functionality. This enables end users to restore their mailboxes and OneDrive data independently via the Hornetsecurity User Panel. They are no longer dependent on their IT administrator to do this task for them.

The extension saves administrators valuable time and gives end users more options: They can either select and restore specific objects or all data stored in their mailbox or on their OneDrive. This is possible because this data is searchable and therefore easy to restore. This makes the process easy to understand and implement even for people without special IT training.

Support for backup and data recovery in OneNote

The solution now includes backup and restore of Microsoft OneNote, enabling Hornetsecurity partners and customers to automatically back up their OneNote notebooks without having to rely on manual backup methods. As a result, the updated version of Hornetsecurity's 365 Total Backup adds another layer of data protection, enabling companies to easily back up and restore the valuable information stored in their OneNote notebooks.

The broad range of protection measures complements the existing backup and recovery capabilities of 365 Total Backup and 365 Total Protection and provides advanced data recovery options for key M365 applications such as Exchange Online, OneDrive for Business, SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams.

In addition to the self-service component, the new feature is a free update and follows the recently added backup and restore functionality for Microsoft Planner. The new feature further rounds out Hornetsecurity's comprehensive data protection suite and ensures that important business data is secure and easily accessible.
