How can the full potential of artificial intelligence (AI) be used safely? That is the key question of the digital conference of the Council of Europe on October 26, 2021 in Strasbourg. Politics, researchers and industry are looking for a dialogue.

The Hungarian Presidency of the Committee of Ministers is committed to stimulating important discussions on how to safely use the full potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI). In line with the priorities of its presidency, the Hungarian government, in cooperation with the Council of Europe, is organizing a high-level multi-stakeholder conference in virtual format on October 26th, 2021 on current and future challenges of coordinated policies on AI regulation.

With the intention of contributing to the improvement of AI policy on a global, regional and national level, the aim is to present different governance models and to show the interplay between national policy and the relevant work of the Council of Europe and other important international organizations.

The event offers the opportunity to enter into a multi-stakeholder and inclusive dialogue with a science-based argumentation on the current initiatives in the field of AI regulation and to demonstrate the relevance and usefulness of these initiatives for national public policy. The speakers come from various sectors, from international organizations and national policy experts to technology companies, civil society actors and representatives from science. Interested parties can register online for the event.
