New ARP-GUARD add-on offers network integrity to the endpoint. It improves the security situation and helps to analyze the IT assets in the internal and external network.

The corona pandemic has permanently changed the world of work. In particular, the trend towards location-independent, decentralized work will continue even after the crisis. Home office, remote or hybrid work, however, place increasing demands on network security for almost every industry. Because the growing number of cyber attacks, the Internet of Things and the increasing use of the cloud require better protection of end devices as well as interference-free and secure network connections. With the new AGENT add-on "powered by Infinipoint", the ARP-GUARD software from the German manufacturer ISL GmbH is a valuable addition for more cybersecurity.

An integration with added value

In conjunction with the ARP-GUARD Network Access Control, this extension offers extensive support for analyzing the security situation of IT assets in the internal and external network. The in-depth insight into all network-compatible devices provides reliable information and decision-making criteria and indicates which device has access to the network and which does not. In addition, weak points are identified and assessed at an early stage. The ARP-GUARD thus provides a platform to map the entire process chain of asset and weak point management.

A permanent check of the IT hygiene of the connected end devices also ensures that the defined company security guidelines are consistently adhered to. Detecting and reporting threats in real time can prevent malware from spreading unnoticed in the corporate network.

Recognize and evaluate potential hazards at an early stage

The new ARP-GUARD add-on provides an assessment of the real risk potential of a weak point using integrated threat intelligence. The focus here is on a real risk score, which is calculated taking into account the industry standard CVSS (Common Vulnerability Scoring System). This score reflects the vulnerability and the degree of exploitation of a security gap, accordingly prioritizations and recommendations for action are issued. This determination of the relevance of an event enables those responsible to react precisely and consistently to a threat situation.

With the combination of Network Access Control and AGENT, ARP-GUARD offers a powerful tool to successfully secure networks with all endpoints against threats.
