Email Protection in Amazon Security Lake by AWS

Cloud security specialist Barracuda announces the integration of its email security solution Barracuda Email Protection with Amazon Security Lake from Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Combined, both offerings can reduce the complexity and cost of accessing security-related data from an email security solution for customers and address a variety of security applications such as threat detection, investigation, and incident response.

Security data lake from cloud and on-premises

Barracuda Email Protection users can leverage Amazon Security Lake to build a security data lake from integrated cloud and on-premises data sources, as well as from their personal applications. With support for the Open Cybersecurity Schema Framework (OCSF) standard, Amazon Security Lake can help Barracuda Email Protection customers aggregate and manage log and event data both in the cloud and on-premises, adding value to their IT -Giving security teams a better overview of the entire company. By using Amazon Security Lake and Barracuda Email Protection together, data analysts and IT engineers can easily create a centralized security data lake to enhance workload, application, and data protection.

Use central security data lake

Amazon Security Lake is a customer account-integrated data lake for security logs. An Amazon S3 bucket supports the data lake and organizes data as a set of lake formation tables. Amazon Security Lake allows Barracuda Email Protection customers to use the security and analytics solutions of their choice to easily query this data on-site or ingest the OCSF-compliant data to address additional use cases.
