18 endpoint products for companies: AV-Comparatives has put its various tests into an evaluation and used them to create its half-yearly report “Business Security Test 2022 (August – November)”.

The test series with three main parts

  • The Real World Protection Test mimics online malware attacks that a typical business user might encounter while browsing the web.
  • The Malware Protection Test considers a scenario where the malware is already present on the disk or e.g. B. entered the test system via the local network or a removable medium instead of directly from the Internet.

To be certified as an "Approved Business Product" by AV-Comparatives in December 2022, the tested products must achieve at least 90% in the Malware Protection Test, with zero false positives on common enterprise software and an FP rate on non-enterprise files below the Noticeably High threshold. In addition, the products must achieve at least 90% in the overall Real-World Protection Test (i.e. over a period of four months), with fewer than a hundred false positives on each clean software/website and zero false positives on common enterprise software. The tested products must also have no major performance issues (the Impact Score must be below 40) and all reported bugs must be fixed to receive certification.
